Gift Returned From The Grave
August 15th 1995 was a bad year for me. A good friend and my life saver from Vietnam passed away on that date. Roy had been a good friend all my life and like I said he actually saved my life in Vietnam by taking a round in his back that was headed in my direction.
After the bad news I got a ticket to Wisconsin to be with his family, they lived outside Milwaukee a place called Madison Wisconsin, its about a hours drive but I could only get a ticket to Milwaukee not the Madison airport.
Roy and I grew up in Milwaukee and we were always together, The teachers always called us Mutt and Jeff so when the Vietnam war started we both joined up at the same time. Roy was always talking about the paranormal and ghosts and things like that but I never believed in such things. I believed when you were dead you were dead as a door nail.
Now Roy was dead and part of me died with him I think. Roy’s wife Marry and his two children were almost grown so that helped, in fact his son Billy was headed into the Army the week after his father passed away.
The funeral and open casket was really hard on me thinking about us growing up and how Roy saved my life in Vietnam. A cloud of black depression hung over me like a low laying cloud. I remember seeing Roy in his casket and asking Roy to just wake up, to just wake up. Roy’s brother Danny helped me to the back room of the funeral home for a few cups of coffee and to help me get myself together.
I had given Roy a gold watch for Christmas and I walked up before his casket was closed to make sure he had on the watch that I had given him. The undertaker asked me if I was sure that Roy should be buried with such an expensive watch on and I told him that was Roy’s watch and I wanted him to wear it forever. The casket was then closed and the funeral service started and after the service to the burial at Wisconsin Memorial Park, just outside of Milwaukee.
After the services we all went to Roy’s home and his wife fixed us a great meal and we just sat and talked about Roy’s life. It was getting late so I said my good by’s to the family, stopped out and bought a bottle of brandy and went back to my hotel room to polish off the bottle of brandy.
The next morning, or afternoon, when I herd the cleaning lady knock on the door to clean the room, I got myself dressed to let her in when I noticed on the dresser, ROY’S WATCH!

That is really an interesting story. Is it possible that Roy’s ghost actually returned that watch to you? I am curious to know whether anything else has happened during the past years since his death.
